Albert talks back-to-school money on The View

Back-to-school can mean a lot of things hitting at once — supply lists, fees, clothes, activities, and plenty of financial admin on top of everything else families are already juggling.

Albert founder and CEO Yinon Ravid recently appeared in a sponsored segment on The View to talk about how Albert is built for moments like this: helping people budget, save, plan ahead, and take some of the money busywork off their plate. During back-to-school, that can mean planning ahead for upcoming expenses, handling bills and invoices, and eventually even using Genius to take on even more of the admin — like helping find and buy school supplies at the best price.

The conversation also touched on why education has become an important part of how we’re investing back into communities as Albert grows. School is where a lot of us first learn the basics about money that shape how we make financial decisions later — from math, to reading, to writing, to saving and planning ahead.

Our mission is to help people make smart financial decisions, which starts with education. That’s why this year, Albert partnered with one school in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta and is committing $400,000 total over four years across the three schools. The support looks different in each place, based on what each school actually needs. We shared the surprise during individual celebratory events at each school that we hosted alongside some of our local sports partners, and we worked together on executing projects of need: from a refurbished basketball court in Los Angeles, to a teachers’ lounge remodel in Dallas, to tech center equipment in Atlanta.

The idea behind all these initiatives is the same one Albert is built around every day: make the money piece feel handled, so people can focus on what matters. For these school communities, that means taking care of some of the financial needs around back-to-school so students, families, and staff can focus on the year ahead.
